I'm very new to all this,because when my mother passed away she had life insurance. My husband & his siblings are having to prepare for their mother passing any day now and none of them have the money to bury her. Their mother has no life insurance or burial insurance,so it is falling upon the kids to plan and try to figure out to pay for her burial. We've got the cost down to about $2000.00 and that is for a cremation. I have been searching all night for info on possible financial help to get this done before she passes, which can be any day now. 

 My husband is a Veteran on disability so our finances are pretty tight,but his other siblings are acting like we should be able to cover almost all of the costs. I'm at a loss myself,because a big part of me wishes I could take on all the costs so they can grieve the loss of their mother,but the reality is that I can't. I would appreciate any & all advice or ideas on what I can do or where I can look to get some help.
